Prog Sphere is thrilled to announce the launch of this month’s Progotronics Championships 47. Featuring 40 incredible artists from the latest Progotronics 47 compilation, this competition will pit some of the finest progressive rock and metal talents against each other in an electrifying showdown.
How It Works
The competition will span four thrilling rounds:
1. Group Stage (December 2 – December 9)
The 40 artists are divided into four groups of 10. The voting for the group stage starts now and will close on December 9th. The top four artists from each group will move on to the next round.
2. Second round (December 10 – December 17)
The 16 remaining artists will be reshuffled into two groups of eight. Voting will run from December 10th to December 17th. The top four artists from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
3. Quarterfinals (December 18 – December 22)
The stakes get higher as the top four artists from each group battle head-to-head in matchups. Here’s how the matchups will be determined:
- The 1st seed from Group A will face the 4th seed from Group B.
- The 2nd seed from Group A will face the 3rd seed from Group B.
- The 3rd seed from Group A will face the 2nd seed from Group B.
- The 4th seed from Group A will face the 1st seed from Group B.
Voting for the quarterfinals will run from December 18th to December 22nd.
4. Semifinals (December 23 – December 26)
The remaining four artists will meet in the semi-finals which will kick off on December 23 and terminate on December 26th. The winners from the two matchups will advance to the grand finale, and the defeated from these matchups will meet in the 3rd place matchup.
5. Grand Finale (December 27 – December 31)
Voting for the grand finale and third-place matchup will take place between December 27th and December 31st.
Prizes for the Top 3 Bands
In addition to bragging rights, the top three bands will receive the following prizes:
- 1st Place: Professionally written biography package, which includes a full-length bio, a short bio, and social media-ready versions, plus a professionally designed Electronic Press Kit (EPK).
- 2nd Place: Professionally designed EPK.
- 3rd Place: Press release written by Prog Sphere, perfect for future releases or announcements.
