We’re thrilled to announce the Progotronics Championships, a brand-new format that brings together 30 talented artists from Progotronics XLVI in an exciting and competitive showcase! This event is designed to give all participating bands and fans a thrilling experience as they battle for the championship title. Here’s everything you need to know about the competition format, voting dates, prizes, and what to expect along the way.
Divisions and League Voting
To kick things off, the 30 artists have been split into two divisions of 15 each. The division assignments were done randomly, ensuring a fresh and unpredictable match-up for everyone involved.

League Voting Phase
Dates: November 4th – November 12th
Format: Fans will vote for their favorite artists within each division. At the end of the voting period, the top eight artists from each division will move on to the next stage.
Division Quarterfinals
The top eight artists from each division will go head-to-head in the quarterfinals:
Dates: November 12th – November 19th
Matchups:
- Division A: A1 vs. A8, A2 vs. A7, A3 vs. A6, A4 vs. A5
- Division B: B1 vs. B8, B2 vs. B7, B3 vs. B6, B4 vs. B5
The winner of each match-up will advance to the semifinals for a cross-division face-off!
Cross-Division Semifinals
Winners from the quarterfinals will compete across divisions in the semifinals:
Dates: November 20th – November 23rd
Matchups:
- C1 (A1-A8 winner) vs. D4 (B4-B5 winner)
- C2 (A2-A7 winner) vs. D3 (B3-B6 winner)
- C3 (A3-A6 winner) vs. D2 (B2-B7 winner)
- C4 (A4-A5 winner) vs. D1 (B1-B8 winner)
Division Finals
The remaining artists will battle in the division finals, with the winners advancing to the grand finale:
Dates: November 24th – November 26th
Matchups:
- E1 (C1 vs. D4 winner) vs. E4 (C4 vs. D1 winner)
- E2 (C2 vs. D3 winner) vs. E3 (C3 vs. D2 winner)
The Grand Finale
The climactic grand finale will be a battle between the two remaining artists, while the third-place match will run alongside it to determine the overall ranking.
Dates: November 27th – November 30th
Matchups:
- Championship: E1-E4 Winner vs. E2-E3 Winner
- Third Place: Losers of E1-E4 and E2-E3
Prizes for the Top 3 Bands
In addition to bragging rights, the top three bands will receive the following prizes:
- 1st Place: Professionally written biography package, which includes a full-length bio, a short bio, and social media-ready versions, plus a professionally designed Electronic Press Kit (EPK).
- 2nd Place: Professionally designed EPK.
- 3rd Place: Press release written by Prog Sphere, perfect for future releases or announcements.
